Hyderabadi Khatti daal (Curry from india)
Ingredients:
- Tuvar dal - 2 cups
- OIl - 1 tsp
- Salt - According to taste
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Green chillies - 1
- Water - 4 cups
- Tamrind paste - 1 cup
- Tomato - 1
- Coriandor leaves - 2-3
For Frying:
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 4-5
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Dried red chilli - 4
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Method :
- Wash dal properly with 2- 3 change of water.
- Put it in a cooker add 4 cups of water, salt, red chilli powder ,turmeric powder, Green chillies and tomatoes.
- Put pressure cooker lid and leave it on high flame for 15 min.
- After 15 min open the lid and let it cool then put this in blender including tamrind paste and little water.
- Now in a small pan heat oilthen put cumin seeds curry leaves, dried chillies, mustard seeds and ginger garlic paste fry them all for 2 min
- Now add all these to the daal.
- Garnish it with coriandor leaves.
- Serve it with plain rice and aachar.
