Oats with Meat (Haleem)

Ingredients:

  1. Oats                                   - 5 cups
  2. Meat                                   - 1 pound
  3. Salt                                    - According to taste
  4. Red chilli powder              - 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder              - 1 tsp
  6. Ginger Garlic paste           - 1 tsp
  7. Onion                             - 1 chopped
  8. Oil                                  - 4 tbs
  9. Yougurt                          - 5 tbs
  10. Cumin powder                - 1 tsp
  11. Water                              - 7 cups
  12. Lemon                             - 1 sliced

Recipe for making oats with meat (Haleem):

  •  First wash meat properly. Now marinate it with Yougurt, Salt, Red chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Ginger garlic paste and Cumin powder. Keep it aside.
  • Take a pressure cooker heat oil in it and put chopped onions in it.
  • Let it fry till until brown now put all the marinated meat in it.
  • Put the pressure cooker lid on it.
  • Cook it for 15-20 min until meat is tendered.
  • Now open the lid of the pressure cooker and let it cook for 5 min now put 7 cups of water in it.
  • Bring the water to boil. Now put Oats in it and simmer your flame.
  • Let it cook for 5 min. Off the flame.
  • Your Oats are ready.
  • Put lemons juice in it and garnish it with chaat masala.

    Haleeeeemah! I love it! I like the one that is home cooked rather than the ones in the restaurant. It tastes better that way.
