Nimbu Dopiaza (Lemon with onions curry)

Hello and welcome my readers. You all must be wondering what dopiaza means? It means two onions we can put more than two onions for the good taste. It is an Indian curry.

Ingredients:

  1. Meat                                               - 1 pound.
  2. Onions                                           - 5-6.
  3. OIl                                                  - 3 tbs.
  4. Salt                                                 - 1 tsp.
  5. Red chilli powder                           - 1 tsp.
  6. Turmeric powder                           - 1 tsp.
  7. Ginger and garlic paste                  - 2 tsp.
  8. Lemons                                         - 2.
  9. Coriandor leaves                           - 2-3.

Method:

  • Wash meat properly  with changes of water and keep it aside.
  • Take a pressure cooker cut onions in it and put meat,salt , red chilli powder, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste.
  • Cover and pressure cooker and put it on flame for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 min open the cooker and see that the meat is soft if it is not soft put the pressure cooker lid for another 10 minutes.
  • Open the lid and cook onions until they are not seen.
  •  Off the flame and put fresh lemons in it and stir well put coriandor leaves in it.
  • Serve hot with chapatis or plain rice.
